Thinking about Water

Water... Natural Water, Spiritual Water.

11 Times in the 1st Chapter of Genesis the Word water is used. Interestingly enough, “God said” is also found 11 times

There is this relationship and companionship between the Water and the Spirit.

The Law of First Reference,

Genesis 1: 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
You see this relationship between Water, the Word and the Spirit.

Water...

Our Experience begins in the water.
At conception the miracle of life begins.

Scientist are dropping a Bomb on the Moon.
Why? Because they are looking for water. Scientist are looking for water on Mars. Why? They are looking for water. There is a general idea that where you find water, you will find life.

Water is the liquid of our life.
We drink water, we cook with water, we wash with water, we need water for our grass, for our swimming pools, we go fishing in the water, we go diving in the water, we go sailing in the water.

Water makes up 70% of the earths surface.
Water makes up about 70% of our bodies as well.

Water is the essential element in our

Environment Survival Enjoyment

Extract water from our life and you have extracted life itself.

When God created the earth the mentioned element was water.

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

God Moved on the Water
God divided the Water
God Gathered the Water
God called the water
God Released the Water, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly..”

And did they obey God?

Angel Fish, star Fish, Clown fish, Crabs, Sharks, Plankton, Whales, Seals, Dolphins...
If you ever see a video, or have an opportunity to swim in the ocean, you will see that it is teeming with life... of every sort and kind. When they dive so deep where there is no light from the sun... there is life... abundant life in the water.

Water is very connected to our own existence. Yes.... you are wonderful, beautiful and valuable.

In your body dwells the very image of God... God made you in his image. You are beautifully and wonderfully made... and you were born in the water in the womb of a woman.

No doubt the scripture says many things about our reality of life.. Trouble, Tribulation, Temptation and Trials.

Welcome to my water world.
Welcome to my Neighborhood of Reality.

Most issues that come in life, there is an answer in the water.

The First Miracle of Jesus was transforming Water into Wine.... No Wine?
Do you have some water?

Sinking and Despairing Disciples...
saw Jesus walking on the Water.

Jesus told the blind man, go wash in the water of Siloam.

Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman as she was coming to draw water.
He asked .... will you give me a drink of water. The conclusion of the matter is he pointed her to spiritual water.

John 4:14
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

This idea of a spiritual drink... a spiritual refreshing is found in the same book.

John 7
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Water... Spirit...
Our Original Birth.

But what we have been promised is a Spiritual Birth.

Our Original Birth started in the water... and when we were Born... we take our First breath of Air... Natural Birth is a Birth of Water and Spirit.

Our Second Birth, Our New Birth, Our Spiritual Birth follows the Same Pattern.

Jesus in the third book of John told Nicomdemous.

John 3
1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

This Water / Spirit Experience is the Promise of Jesus Christ.
He promised he would...

Send a comforter,
Give the Holy Ghost,
Come and Dwell in His Believers,
Truth would Come,
Grace Would Come,
Power Would Come,
Promise Would Come,
Gifts would Come...
