Video Blog 1-28-09

I have a challenge out to my minister friends to try to do a video blog.

So, to help it along, I decided to do a few in a more regular manner to see if we might start a dialogue.

God says, "Keep the Change!"

God is not looking for Change. God is looking for a return.
God's ways are not our ways, or his thoughts our thoughts.

The Premise is this.

Man thinks in a linear way....

In a time line... a beginning and end. Up and Down... Proceeding forward.

God's way is not Linear, but Cyclical or Circular. Men cry for Change... but God calls for men to return. The Answer for the Church is not Change, but Return.

God's process is Circular.

You see it in the Seasons...

Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.... and again, repeating over and over and over again.

The rotation of the Earth. The Revolving nature of the Solar System.

Evaporation, Precipitation, Accumulation; never ending cycles.

Man thinks in linear ways because that is our nature. We are mortal, finite and creatures bound by time.

However God is not bound by time, he is immortal and infinite.

He dwells outside of time, observing time, the creator of time. He was before time was and he will continue to be when time is no more.

It is not the idea of evolution.. Because God's plan does not evolve. He declared the end from the beginning. So, there are no unexpected events. God is never surprised. There is nothing new under the sun.

What is has been and what will be has been.

In summary. Don't sweat!

If you are connected to God, he is the God of the Turn Around. He is the God of the Ultimate Return.

You desire to have a spiritual Revival?

Return to Prayer. Return to Sacrifice. Return to Holiness. Return to the Bible. Return to Searching and Seeking after God. In your return, you will find what is @ the Beginning.

Return to your first love.
Do the First Works.
Get your eyes focused on Jesus,
